TeamWS was formed to help increase awareness about Parkinson's Disease and to raise money for Parkinson's Research through fundraising activities.
In 2011, TeamWS partnered with Flow BMW's BRP Cruz for the Cure and Flow Automotive sponsored EuroClassica. The EuroClassica car show was held on the grounds of Old Salem all day on Saturday, September 10. The event brought over 1,000 spectators to view hundreds of vintage European automobiles and motorcycles.
Later in the evening the fundraising event, Grand Prix de Monaco Casino Night was hosted at Flow BMW. The dealership was transformed into a Monte Carlo style casino and was attended by over 300 guests. The evening included professional Vegas style gaming tables, diamond necklace champagne raffle, slot car racing, silent auction, wonderful raffle prizes, cocktails and fabulous food.
Continuing the fundraising efforts, the following morning participants met at Flow BMW to begin The BRP Cruz for the Cure. Following a complimentary breakfast over 40 BMW owners joined in the guided tour to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Total raised in the two Flow BMW fundraising events exceeded $24,000.
All money raised was donated to TeamFOX, the fundraising arm of the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
